An Alias study for my home studio, which also functions
as the entertainment and communications center. This is
an old historic house so the decor is of the era.
The LaJolla Museum of Art had a major exhibit on
Nissan Design America. This was a preliminary
study (on Alias) for the space and traffic flow.
The SPHERE:
That was the inspiration for this iconic (can I say that?) interior - for a motor yacht AND a Nissan show vehicle.
I wish the final yacht helm station had resembled
the original concept. At least the Nissan
COCOON show vehicle was a good interpretation.
A couple of Alias
projects for NDA
This design for the employee lounge
became a gathering place for the folks.
The ceiling already had three (normal)
skylights which had to be worked around.
This was a proposal for a standard
designer's station, on wheels and
ready to glide to where ever it was
needed.
A proposal for a storage building at
NDA. It served the job for several years.
I did this Alias model for a color study on my
Del Mar house (the Blue Wall by Ted Smith).
A design for a "layered" look on a wheel.
I always liked this CAD model of a little
mini bike because of the way the fairing
flips negative from the windshield area
to the tank cover.
This Alias study was done before I started my
Razor project. Space was limited in the garage
and had to be carefully considered, especially
with the investment I already had in furniture
and tools.
These were done as proposals for a
traveling exhibit for the Danville based
BLACKHAWK MUSEUM.
